I certainly know why it’s #1… it’s so effin’ catchy. The track is off the group’s second album, Want. They definitely have their own style of music which is a nice change from everything else.

Pete Wentz did something yesterday that he hasn’t done in years… talked to fans 1 on 1 online. He started off talking to people on AIM, but the chat room crashed almost instantly because of the amount of traffic it was receiving. He then tried hopping on Fall Out Boy’s message board, but after a few minutes it crashed as well. His final attempt to connect with people was via a new Twitter account. He answered quite a bit of answers before calling it a night and deleting the account. The final question that he answered is pictured above. Take it how you want it. Nothing is official, but Pete said Fall Out Boy’s latest album, Folie à Deux, may be their last.

SupJustin.com: Hey Monday Interview
Let’s Make A Mess Tour
6/14/09 Modesto Virtual, Modesto, CA ![]() For the record, please state your name and role in the band. Cassadee: I sing. Mike: I play the guitar. So the tour just started a few days ago, how’s it been so far? C: It’s been awesome. M: It’s been a pleasant surprise. Anaheim sold out and the other two shows were really close to maximum occupancy for the venues. The kids have been great and we get to hangout after the show with them. All of the other bands are so much fun too. We’re just having a great time so far. How does this tour compare to the Believers Never Die Tour, specifically going from the opening act to the headlining act? C: We have a lot more confidence this time around. The B.N.D. Tour was so intimidating… All of the other bands were so much more established and had been touring so much longer than us. We were kind of like the “noobs.” All we had was a 20 minute set and didn’t get to really talk with the kids or anything. Now that we have a 45 minute set we get to play almost our whole album and interact more with the kids. We also get to do different things with our songs too. Overall it just feels like we have a lot more freedom. M: We also want to try adding a cover song in to our set this tour, but we’re still finding the right one to play. Since the B.N.D. Tour, you guys have been getting a lot of attention… Have you guys been able to handle it? C: Totally. The attention we’ve been getting has been mostly positive. The only really bad attention has been from internet forums here and there, but we don’t worry about it. The kids are really stoked to see our show and meet us now and it makes us feel like we’re actually doing this for a reason. ![]() Which country that you’ve toured do you like the most? C: Japan is up there for me. We’ve been there twice and the kids are awesome and so is the night life. The first time we played there our album wasn’t out, but kids went pretty crazy. The 2nd time we visited though it was insane. We had no idea how big we were until our label gave us a bunch of magazines that we were in. At the shows, kids were freaking out more than the first time and actually singing along with us. Kids were even stopping us on the streets for autographs and such too. Who are you guys currently listening to? C: At the moment, I’m really in to You Me At Six, The Friday Night Boys, and Manchester Orchestra. M: For me it’s The Friday Night Boys as well and Green River Ordinance. The last time I interviewed you guys, you mentioned Blink-182 are a huge influence to you guys. What was your reaction when you found out they were back? C: We were actually in Tokyo recording an acoustic session for some show. Eliot, Jersey, and Alex were in a room watching the Grammys while Mike and I were getting ready to perform. Jersey walked in right before we were about to record and screamed “OMG BLINK IS BACK.” We were all kind of expecting it because we had heard rumors, but we still all freaked out that it was finally official. We’re all so stoked they’re back. ![]() There’s been a rumor going around that you guys have a new label-mate that go by the name of The Millionaires. Have any comment on that? C: Apparently. M: I’ve heard that rumor too. I haven’t talked to Pete [Wentz] recently because we’ve been really busy, so I don’t know whats going on for real. I can see why a lot of people would talk shit about that band, but I can also see how they can be huge. It would be genius to sign them. I know Gabe [Saporta] backs them really hard. They’re music is kind of ridiculous, but it’s so catchy. After this tour, what’s the plan for the rest of this year? C: We have about two weeks off after this current tour, then there is talk of us maybe doing an acoustic tour. Once fall comes, we’re doing two tours with some pretty big names. Nothings confirmed, but it’s most likely going to happen. Any idea when you guys will be putting out a new album? C: Not really… we’re currently writing and recording some demos. We just want to focus mainly on playing shows still and continue getting our name out there. M: I think the latest we’ll start recording is next summer and hopefully have something out in 2010. Like Cassadee said, we just want to tour right now. We’re in awe at everything we’ve done so far… We’ve come a lot farther than we thought we ever would and right now we want to continue with this momentum.
